Gerwick is organized into the following major service lines:  water resources and waterways; wharves, piers, ports and harbors; coastal engineering; bridges and bridge foundations; tunnels; offshore marine structures, and buildings and foundations.

Since 1988, Gerwick has been affiliated with COWI Group of Denmark. Gerwick, with Vancouver-based firm Buckland & Taylor, and East Coast firm Ocean and Coastal Consultants, Inc. are creating the future COWI North America, which will enable more than 500 professionals within the marine engineering sector to collaborate on marine structures, geotechnical engineering, and coastal engineering projects throughout the world.
