Applicants must possess a high level of technical and communication skills that allows us to work with contractors, agencies, and developers. Experience with soil-structure interaction, seismic analysis, liquefaction and slope stability analyses, ground improvement techniques, cofferdam design, and foundation construction is required.
Qualifications required for Geotechnical Engineering position are the following:
- Minimum 7 years experience working in increasing professional responsibilities. Prefer candidates with demonstrated skills in seismic analysis, preparing design calculations, development of construction document packages, specification writing, cost estimating, and project coordination, and quality control.
- Experienced in working with multiple disciplines: geotechnical, structural, coastal engineering and contractors. Experienced in design-bid-build, design-build, value engineering, and constructability review.
- Must be licensed engineer with PE, GE preferred. Master or Doctorate degrees in geotechnical engineering are preferred.
- Experience with modern geotechnical design and analysis tools such as FLAC, PLAXIS, GRLWEAP, ENSOFT programs and ABAQUS is desirable for this positions.
- Knowledge of other software is a plus (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, MCASES, Cost Link, and AutoCAD).
- Organized, systematic, and aware of design process coordination. Demonstrated experience leading design team in the development of plans, specifications, and estimates for successful completion of project on time and under budget.
- A team player that demonstrates willingness and ability to work with drafters, designer, engineers, contractors of all levels. Works well with others and can communicate effectively.
