Dale E. Berner - President
  Biography
 

Dr. Dale E. Berner, is the current President of BCG and most recently served as a Vice President.  He has spent his entire professional career with Gerwick – first as a Doctoral student of Professor Gerwick and since 1983 as an engineer/designer. At various stages of his 26 year career with BCG he has held the position of Chief Engineer, Chief Financial Officer and is currently also serving as a member of its Board of Directors. Dr. Berner received his B.Sc. in 1978, an M.Eng. in 1982 and a Ph.D. in 1984 all in Civil Engineering and all from the University of California, Berkeley. His area of expertise covers a wide range – from offshore deep-water platforms to concrete float-in locks and dams to large flood protection systems. Among his many achievements is the current management of the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal project, the largest design/build contract of its type ever contracted by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
